| Abstract | We give a brief introduction to the study of pre-Lie algebras, emphasizing the relationships with other topics in mathematics and mathematical physics. Explicitly, we introduce the background briefly and give examples of pre-Lie algebras derived from well-known structures. In particular, the close relationship between pre-Lie algebras and classical Yang-Baxter equation in Lie algebras is interpreted. Moreover, we also present some recent progress on pre-Lie algebras. |
