交叉中心青年论坛举办线上第四期，华为公司白铂博士谈信息论中的机遇和挑战

10月20日上午，华为公司白铂博士应邀在国家数学与交叉科学中心青年论坛作报告。他结合当前的应用需求，与大家交流和探讨了“信息论中的机遇和挑战”。这是国家数学与交叉科学中心在线上举办的10周年青年论坛第四场，报告由中心副主任闫桂英研究员主持。
目前，5G技术在全球迅速发展，在5G的背后，很多基础的理论都涉及信息论的内容。与此同时，随着5G技术的广泛部署，对于6G的讨论也受到了越来越多的关注，其背后同样有很多信息论里面的挑战和机会。白铂博士的报告就主要围绕这些问题展开，包括6G的网络结构问题，6G的编码问题，AI技术在信源和信道编码上的应用，以及针对机器学习的面向未来智能通信的编码问题。他十分期待与相关各方专家的合作，也欢迎优秀的年轻人加入进来，共同解决6G发展中遇到的挑战，为信息技术的发展做出贡献。
Dr. Bo Bai received the Ph.D. degree from Tsinghua University. From July 2012 to January 2017, he was an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University. Currently, he is a Principle Researcher at Theory Lab, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., Hong Kong. He is leading a team to develop fundamental principles, algorithms, and systems for 6G cell-free networking, non-linear information theory, and graph informatics. He is an IEEE Senior Member and has authored more than 120 papers in major IEEE and ACM journals and conferences, 2 book chapters, and 1 textbook. He served as a committee member, TPC member, and reviewer for several IEEE technical organizationd, conferences, and journals. He was invited as a Young Scientist Speaker at IEEE TTM 2011. He was a recipient of the Best Paper Award in IEEE ICC 2016.
