In this talk, we shall explain how to generate random numbers with the help of p-adic dynamical systems, and then present some new structural results about p-adic dynamical systems. Finally we study in detail finite automata-style dynamical systems, in particular, the characterization of Haar measure preserving, minimality, and ergodicity.
