In the first part of the talk I motivate for the factorization method for a simple finite dimensional example corresponding to the scattering by point sources (MUSIC-Algorithm). The factorization method belongs to the class on non-itarative methods. Given the far-field measurements it provides a criteria to decide whether a given point is inside or outside of the unknown obstacle. The second part is devoted to factorization method for anisotropic media. At the end I would present the factorization method for scattering by anisotropic media with conductive boundary conditions corresponding to the TE mode in electromagnetic scattering. |
